First Catholic Mass?
Our wedding ceremony will be a full Catholic Mass.
Duration approximately one hour, all indoors.
We will have a printed program with explanations and songs. Please join in as you are comfortable!
Holy Communion: Communion is the bread and wine (Eucharist). During Communion, the congregation processes to the altar where the priest, along with Eucharistic Ministers (our family and friends), give out the bread and wine. If you are not Catholic, you are welcome to join the procession to the altar to receive a blessing instead of the bread. When you arrive at the altar in front of the priest or Eucharistic Minister, cross your arms (hands on opposite shoulders) to receive a blessing. You don’t need to say anything in response. When you pass the wine station on the way back to your seat, just walk on by.
Please silence your cell phone. We also invite you to turn off your phone and request that you refrain from taking photos or videos. Enjoy the moment with us!
